👉 About Dr. HILDEGARD ETZ

Hildegard Etz did her Ph.D. in Genetics and Microbiology before starting to work as a patent examiner at the Austrian Patent Office, now already 16 years ago. In her free time, she works a lot with boats, so she has finally entered the Patent Office Department of Mechanical Engineering, examining inventions about ships and related equipment.

She has as well been in the Service Department for a long time, giving advice to companies and start-ups, holding patent search workshops, and giving talks all around patents and the protection of intellectual property. She thus knows not only about the patent world but has also a solid knowledge of trademark and design protection mechanisms.
