Michael Altrichter will vist us on the 24th of March. He is the „Business Angel of the Year 2014“ by the AAIA (Austrian Angel Investor Association) and has a fascinating story to tell about his enterpreneurial background. Before becoming an investor, he already experienced various ups and downs as a start-up founder in the financial space. His first startup paysafecard, which he co-founded with two partners, aimed torevolutionise e-commerce payments. It changed over time and time again until they found their sweet spot in the betting and pre-pay industry. They started right into the collaps of the Dot-com bubble in 2000, but made it through and then started to grew exponentially. After selling his companies to the british company Skrill and then taking some time off, he is now involved as an angel investor in different start-ups. He has 10 internet Start-ups in his portfolio, for example rublys, wikifolio or Diagnosia, but also has a focus on impact investment where the social impact aspect combines with making money (maybe not as much money as on pure profit driven investments) Michael is also well known for his input on the start-up show “2 Millionen in 2 Minuten” on Puls 4. – See more at:
