What is the Social Impact Award?
The Social Impact Award is Europe’s largest students competition on social entrepreneurship. It is dedicated to support students in developing and implementing their own impact ideas. The award has been founded in 2009 by the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the WU Vienna and is run in 10 countries in 2016. In Austria, the Social Impact Award is operated by the Impact Hub Vienna that also serves as the international headquarter of SIA. We offer our participants professional know-how, space for exchanging ideas, feedback and funding to support young entrepreneurs in their first steps of their social or ecological projects. This year 73 impact ventures applied for SIA in Austria.
