Putting Artificial Intelligence to work: Human Language, Number Crunching & Intelligent Assistance in “IBM Watson”

Free

Event Details

You are invited to meet with IBM experts for a lecture & discussion on artificial intelligence put to work in IBM Watson (www.ibm.com/watson), organized by the MIT Club of Austria in conjunction with IBM.

Because space is limited, please inform us about your intent to participate at your earliest convenience but best no later than 3rd November (first come, first served) by writing to .

ON THE ONE HAND, Watson is some cloud-based predictive analytics computing service for business or personal insight that can answer a users’ natural language questions and visualize their data patterns. IBM has opened Watson up to everyone. The platform is meant to make ‘big data’ processing available to people without a statistics degree — chuck in a dataset, and Watson will pull out the interesting correlations, predictive analyses, present it all in infographics and graphs. ON THE OTHER HAND, Watson is likely the most powerful natural-language supercomputer in the world that combines artificial intelligence and sophisticated analytical software for optimal performance, and thanks to a new public beta, its number-crunching abilities are open to all.

We look forward to welcoming you for a special event to meet with IBM and discuss the future of cognitive assistance.
