GO HONG KONG 2022 is a two-week HYBRID acceleration program for Austrian later-stage startups aiming to internationalize to Asia, especially to the Greater Bay Area. This unique program is hybrid and flexible to give you the best support (strategically/financially) in your internationalization plans.

This unique program is organized by the Global Incubator Network Austria (short GIN) in cooperation with AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA and is is the ideal preparation for Austrian startups from various verticals in the field of GreenTech & sustainability (PropTech, Transport & Mobility, Energy & Utilities, Hospitality & Tourism, FoodTech, Green Finance) to take the next steps of their expansion. Benefit from a digital onboarding program with video masterclasses, IP coaching and mentoring, 1:1 business meetings and follow-up on-site activities* in Hong Kong if business travels to the Greater Bay Area are possible.

*IMPORTANT: This program is planned as a hybrid program with physical acitivities in Vienna, Austria. If travels to Hong Kong are possible without going into quarantine for longer than 1 week, part 2 of the hybrid program can take place on-site. If the travel restrictions remain with an obligatory quarantaine-stay of 7+ days, the program will take place digitally and the physical trip to Hong Kong/GBA can be made at a later point in time.

PART I | GO HONG KONG Hybrid: Sept. 19-23, 2022

• Online masterclasses with unlimited access
• Individual IP coaching and mentoring
• Kick-Off event in Vienna on Sept. 19th
• Insights into the economy, market, and relevant aspects (tax, legal, IP, marketing, etc.)

PART II | Digital/Physical* GO HONG KONG: Oct. 10-14, 2022

• 1:1 business meetings in Hong Kong with relevant stakeholders (clients, corporates, investors)
• Ecosystem tour and introduction to the local startup community
• Industry-related events and international startup conferences
• Refund of up to EUR 20,000 per startup for all travel expenses (flights, accommodation)

REQUIREMENTS:
The program GO HONG KONG 2022 is most suitable for startups meeting the following criteria:

• Verticals: GreenTech and Sustainability Solutions (PropTech, Transport & Mobility, Energy & Utilities, Hospitality & Tourism, FoodTech, Green Finance)
• Austrian mid- or later-stage startup (beyond PoC and seed stage)
• Established in the last 7 years (no k.o. criterion)
• Raised at least seed-stage investment
• Unique product/solution
• Working prototype/MVP
• A proven business model with traction (clients, revenue)
• Interest in connecting to relevant stakeholders (corporates, business partners)
• Looking to develop further internationally with a focus on the Greater Bay Area/Asia
