Materials Hack is a playground for innovative materials powered by StartUs and BOREALIS. It’s dedicated to those who are excited about new unique materials and their market disruption potential.

We invite entrepreneurs, engineers, industrial designers and plastics enthusiasts from all around Europe to apply and disrupt the world of MATERIALS.
Apply for a 2.5 days Hackathon and join the First Phase of the Hack with 40 selected engineers, industrial designers and visionary thinkers from all over Europe. Be among the top two teams to enter the Second Phase of the Hack, Materials Incubation. Get a three-week support and space to perfect your idea and become our Materials Champion.
We also make sure you don’t face any financial or travel obstacles we will provide you with support in both phases of the Materials Hack.
Participation in the Materials Hackathon is free of charge and during the application process you will be able to apply for a travel & accommodation grant.
In addition to the cash prizes, the participants of the Materials Incubation will receive accommodation and a working space in Vienna as well as a €1125 working grant per participant.
