i²c STARTacademy 2018 – the Bootcamp 4 Scientists
Identify and evaluate market opportunities – this is the first step for scientists who want to transfer their technology/their research results into successful products or services. The i²c STARTacademy supports scientists to develop an initial understanding of research transfer, either in the application or commercialization opportunities of their results. Tools and methods enable scientists to develop a business model and a first financial plan. Our bootcamp helps you identify how to transform your research into a potential spinout.

• Your participation is your first step towards a potential spin-out Fellowship application (FFG funding amounting to € 500,000.-)
• PhD students have the opportunity to qualify for the i²c Award – a high potential PhD scholarship amounting to € 5000, – + workplace in the i²c co-working space incl. participation in the TUW i² incubation program after finishing the PhD,
• Identify application fields: develop market opportunities for your own technology
• Business model generation
• Financial planning: which financing options are available, do they fit your utilization philosophy and what implementation strategy is needed
• Mentoring from inter- / national coaches, founders, and investors
• Pitch training: present and communicate your ideas in a short, comprehensible and compelling manner
• Full access to the i²c Founder and Investor Network
