New Start-Up Initiative for the Building Industry

Under the motto “Digitize today’s building industry”, start-ups from DACH and CEE countries are being called upon to submit digital and disruptive software and/or hardware solutions as well as services for planning, building, operating and financing buildings as part of the Digital Building Solutions (DBS) initiative. Completely new ideas as well as transformable solutions from other industries are being sought. “DBS is a unique opportunity for start-ups – even from completely different business sectors – to advance in a sector that has been very traditional thus far”, says Daniel Cronin, start-up expert and thus supporter of DBS, as an invitation to participate. The initiative is being implemented by the IG Lebenszyklus Bau association in cooperation with ten of Austria’s leading companies in the construction and real estate industries. The finalists can look forward to, among other things, potential partnerships, investments or acquisitions of participating companies, admission into their start-up program, a presentation in a public forum as part of the closing event in Vienna as well as exclusive trade show exposure as part of the Expo Real in Munich, Europe’s largest B2B trade show for real estate and investments.
