The semantic web provides machine-readable information and makes data meaningful. As a result, the machine understands whether “Wien” is the capital of Austria, a river or an actor.
In October 2017 the International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC) takes place in Vienna. It is the premier international forum for the semantic web community. Within the framework of this conference, the Vienna Business Agency Vienna and the Vienna University of Economics and Business are organizing an event in order to feature Viennese companies and connect local experts and entrepreneurs with the international community.
Successful companies from Vienna like Deepsearch, SMARTASSISTANT and the Semantic Web Company will give insights into their work. After the presentations, there are many possibilities for networking and participants can attend the poster session of the ISWC to learn about new projects
