betapitch Vienna

Event Details

betapitch is a startup competition organized by betahaus | Berlin and gives aspiring startup teams a head start in a place they can call home (read: the co-working space where the betapitch is organized). Over the course of the year betahaus co-organizes betapitch events all over Europe, with the winners of all local betapitch events to pitch against each other at the betapitch | global competition on August 30, 2014.

From just a bunch of people with an idea to a team with a working prototype, the jury of betapitch | Vienna will have to rank the attendees based on their idea, technology used, originality as well as on their pitch’ quality. Who are these people judging the applications? Amongst others, Nicolas Dittberner from Elance, Aurél Pásztor from Day One Capital, Adam Somlai-Fischer from Prezi and Imre Hild from iCatapult will do the honors.

The betapitch competition held at sektor5 August 14 gives promising startups a temporary home base at sektor5 to develop their idea and build their products in a vivid and supportive co-working environment. Furthermore EVERY applying team gets $50, each finalist $250 and the winner $1000 to spend on freelancers’ services on the Elance platform. Other prizes entail an explanatory video from Explain Rocket worth 4000 euro and a trip to betapitch | global in Berlin in September 2014.

Sounds good? Then apply now! After we’ve screened the applications, a maximum of 8 teams will be invited to pitch their startup in front of our jury*. The winning team will also have the opportunity to attend a pitch training shortly before the global betapitch event, to optimize their chances (even more).
