Call: Africa Innovation Challenge

Event Details

We are looking for sustainable products and solutions that make an impact in markets in Subsahara Africa.

• Africa is a continenct of opportunities and challenges.
• sustainability and innovation are key to find solutions that work in the countries.
• Austrian companies have a strong set of technical and organisational knowhow to support sustainable growth.

The aim of this Africa Innovation Challenge is to support innovative and sustainable solutions from Austria to continue their grwoth in the booming African markets.

This challenge is part of go-international and takes place on the occasion of the World Summit Award (WSA).

The challenge is an integral part of the WSA (22.-24.3.2021) and the pitching will take place on March 23rd in front of an international jury chaired by Kambis Kohansal Vajargah, MSc, BSC, Head of WKÖ Startup Services,

For the winners of the challenge we can offer:

– promotional activities including a feature as “SDG Storywall” via WKÖ/Advantage Austria channels

+ free participation in the following Innovation Programs

– Learning Journey Startup Hotspot Nigeria, 21.-22.04.2021
– Innovate4Africa – Nairobi Innovation Week, 7.-11.06.2021
– South Africa – individual network support

All applicants for the pitching will have free access to World Summit Award and can access the whole seminar and conference program.
