Clojure Coding Dojo

Event Details

Instead of the usual monthly meeting with talks and discussions we are going to do some actual Clojure coding this time.

The idea of a Dojo is to create a non-competitive, collaborative, fun environment to learn new skills or hone existing ones and try out new ideas. All skill levels are welcome. There are many ways to do a Dojo, we will decide which way we will go before we begin.

Some ideas

  • We could go through the Clojure(Script) Koans together or in pairs with short retrospectives every now and then to answer questions and avoid frustration.
  • We can also do a more traditional code kata either in pairs or as a group.
  • Do I need to know Clojure?

What Do I need to prepare?

If you can, please bring your laptop with a working Clojure environment. The easiest way to get up and running with Clojure is to install Leiningen: http://leiningen.org/

You will also need Java as Clojure is hosted on the JVM.
